Dewi Boetius was born in Amsterdam in 1984 and raised by her loving parents who are from Suriname’s (father) and Mollucan (mother) descent. Both her parents inspired her to be creative from a young age. Her father, a very artistic and stylish personality himself, taught her how to draw and sketch. After finishing high school, Dewi enrolled at Artemis in Amsterdam to study Fashion Styling. Following an internship at the prestigious Dutch fashion brand “People of the Labyrinths”, she started working as a designer and style consultant at She-tailor. Searching for a way to express her creativity, she started “WHATEVER SUITS ME” in 2011.
“Korocici” is her nickname which her loving uncle from Indonesia gave her. It means “Curly head”.
